This morning on NPR there was a discussion of the Republican debate. They briefly mentioned that it was being sponsored by the "Souther Republican Leadership Conference." I nearly dropped my breakfast.

I listened to excerpts of responses given by one of Governor Huntsman's spokespersons this morning. It seems that he is out of the "race." Besides being willing to work for the benefit of the country despite it being led by a Democrat he also suffered from the sin of speaking Chinese. The only thing worse, of course, would be to speak French. We prefer not to call it "French," though, in favor of the term "Freedom Language."

This evening I was listening to the local hyper-nationalistic radio station to find out who is their latest darling. This is the same station in which the commentators spent the summer in love with Rep. Bachman, and as it became painfully obvious that she is clinically insane got all romantic over Gov. Perry.
